Vastu as stated in Vastu Shastra, is the science of traditional Indian architecture, which has laid out the principles of design, based on 5 elements present in our Universe. These are applicable to all types of buildings be it houses or apartments or commercial, education, religious or spiritual institutions.

Based on the purpose of the building the 5 elements need to be balanced. Depending upon the purpose – spaces for rooms, colors, objects, sculptures & plants can be planned to activate the energy bodies. Additionally, earth energy fields of the plot and surrounding areas are checked to ensure harmony.

The nature and our physical body are made of 5 elements; so do the buildings. Any imbalance in the 5 elements can bring about issues related to health, career, relationships, money, education & overall wellbeing of people who dwell in them. Example – an overactive fire zone in a building can lead to severe health issues, accidents or serious wealth related issues. A cut or imbalance or wrong placement of toilet in water zone can lead to depression or nervous disorders or different type of opportunity related issues.
